Network Services Projects 

Project 3031: System Sense installed and configured for the client company a functional pilot of the Messagelabs web content filtering service based on the scansafe technology. System Sense configured policies to allow only authenticated users to proxy to the internet while ensuring the policy compliance.

Project 3032: System Sense developed a solution for custom updates in specific fields of active directory. The customisation is frequently required by the client company while there were in the process of migration and required batch additions/deletions and changes to all their active directory infrastructure.

Project 3033: System Sense configured for the client company the Microsoft Identity and Integration Server 2003 which performed GAL synchronisation between two forests infrastructure. The solution succeeded in maintaining different Exchange Organisations with the same Global Address List information. The MIIS 2003 server was then set to perform scheduled executions of its management agents using the MAS Scheduler XML configuration.

Project 3034: System Sense performed a physical to virtual migration of a Server holding multiple roles for a large software company. The client choose to perform the P2V migration given the complexity of having to rebuild and reconfigure all the functionality of the server from scratch. The P2V process took place using the Platespin Powerconvert tool and new virtual machine was created in a VMWare ESX server.

Project 3034: System Sense assisted in the relocation of the office of one of our clients utilising Microsoft 2003 Server products to create a functional domain, Exchange 2003 for their messaging system and ISA 2004 as part of the DMZ firewall infrastructure.

Project 3035: System Sense utilised the Microsoft Internet Authentication Service to fulfill the requirement of the client company for authenticated access for remote access clients. System Sense delivered the solution including detailed logging and reporting using the IAS Log Viewer program.

Project 3036: System Sense created an automated unattended installation of Windows 2003 Server to speed up the deployment of servers for the client company. The automated installation ensured that all added servers were created in an identical manner as per the specifications of the client. The automated process included the installation of additional drivers, programs, configuration of local security and branding.

Project 3037: System Sense migrated the users, computers and servers of the client company to a new Windows forest using the new Microsoft ADMT version 3 product. The migration of the users email data took place with the Exchange Migration wizard. To ensure that schedule free busy data during the migration period were available, System Sense used the Microsoft Inter-organisational Replication Tool.

Project 3038: System Sense installed and configured Veritas Backup server, tape autoloader and scheduled jobs for the client company. In addition System Sense configured the client's ISA server to securely publish the Exchange 2003 OWA. System Sense configured also the client's ISA server for the use of Outlook for RPC over HTTPS.
